Position Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join the Analytics Engineering team, responsible for Zynga’s data platform—from ingestion and storage to analysis. This role focuses on building scalable data infrastructure and services for Zynga’s massive gaming ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a multi-petabyte-scale data platform.
• Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines (ETLs).
• Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and observability in all systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and ML teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold sustainable engineering practices.
• Contribute high-quality code, documentation, and testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in large-scale, distributed data systems.
• Strong coding skills in SQL and Python or a JVM-based language.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, in-memory databases.
• Knowledge of data governance, modeling, and access management.
• Proficient in AWS services: Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS, S3.
• Exposure to tools like Airflow, Kafka, DataHub and Terraform, DataDog.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams.
